Homeschooling Surprises

Posted by Gwendelynn Brown on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, In : Funny Kid Stories

After a nice holiday break, and then a not-so-nice Flu break for Mom, we're back in the saddle again with homeschooling.   This is our second year, and I have to say, there is a lot about homeschooling that has surprised me.  I really, really like it.  It's a great fit for our family, and I love learning with the kids.

"One of the secrets to hiding is to hold your burps and poots."

I mean, that just makes a mother proud.  He is available as a motivational speaker for your next team building event.

In honor of his birthday, I am going to go into the archives of his boyhood to share some photos and quotes.  Oh, the laughter h...

Posted by Gwendelynn Brown on Friday, April 16, 2010, In : Funny Kid Stories

He is worried.
He is concerned.
He is once again in the lightening quick embrace of his sissy.

"One minute, I'm laying here peacefully...

when a shadow falls across me.

All the sudden, she's here smooching all over me.

It's over as quick as it began, with nothing but the lingering scent of bananas and cheese crackers as proof.

She is too forward and flighty.  I'm just not that kind of guy.

I...I just can't work under these conditions...something MUST be done about these intrusions...

Maa...
